Jaybidhyadhar Pundit had 4 sons. His eldest son, Sarbaghyadhar Pundit, went to settle in Nepa village (Dailkekh district in the hilly Region of Western Nepal). Since he had settled in Nepa, from there onwards, his descendants started keeping the surname Nepal. My 25 generations since Bhaskar Pundit are as follows:

As seen in the family tree: Later, Daansu and Taaru, the descendents of Daibupadhya, came from Maadi and lived in Myalpaani, Khasyauli. Daansu had two wives. The descendents of his first wife settled in Chaaptari and the descendents of his second wife settled in Myalpaani Khasyauli. When the place got congested, some went towards Kataharbaari and some remained in Myalpaani. The descendents of Taaru, younger brother of Daansu, were in Myalpaani, Paaghar (Maadi), and Khutlam, Palpa. Later, one of his grandsons, Shiromani (my great grandfather's grandfather) also moved to Kataharbaari. Although most of the Nepals from Kataharbaari have their house there, they now reside in Kathmandu, Rupandehi and other places.

I am the elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Rukmangat Nepal. Though I was born in Palpa, I grew up in Bhairahawa and studied in Kathmandu. Our grandparents live in Shankarpur, Rupandehi district in Lumbini Zone in Nepal, between Butwal and Bhairahawa. My parents are in Butwal.
